Samudra is an FMCG initiative driven by the second generation of a South Indian Industrial group, with a strong presence in food manufacturing, textile exports and education. Beginning with packaged wheat products, the new brand seeked to agressively make a mark in the FMCG space before extending its product bouquet. Purplehat was entrusted with the task of designing the logo and packaging for Samudra Foods, the brand’s division that is into Atta, Maida and Semolina. We created an elegant identity for the brand and positioned it as a food product which is as pure as something made at home. Post the brand identity, we worked on the packaging of all the SKUs, which helped the brand to command a strong retail space in the south.
